Hi all,
I recently registered to the forum. Name is JT and I have been building models for about 5 years now. I'm actually glad to find this section of the forum community. Enjoying some of the interesting WIPs and finished models you guys have done. Currently, I have nothing on my bench, but planning to start off with a 612 Scag for the 60 Years of Ferrari celebration. As for the question that I have. I was browsing through Hobby Link Japan the other day for paints. I came across this, it's TD-3 Sand Yellow (http://www.hlj.com/product/TAMTD-3). Is it metallic or a solid colour? I couldn't tell, because of the plastic wrap. Can I use this for a standard Tamiya kit without have some problems? Thank you in advance! JT

Re: New to forum and a question regarding a Tamiya paint.
The full description is Code: TAMTD-3 Series: 3-D Scenic Color which means it's a diorama color so it's going to be a matt finish.

Thank you for that Veyron. I guess I can use it for the interior.

Or you can hit it with a glossy clearcoat.

I wouldn't use 3D spray for interior except maybe for the carpet. Is that the effect you are after?
The painted surface will look like this. http://www.geocities.jp/dom_sugi/pur...r-diorama.html It's a lot coarser than Scale Motorsport's textured spray. Just so you know. |
