'99 Jetta Radio Questions

I have a question regarding the radio of a '99 Jetta (late model). Mine currently has an after market CD player installed. I would like to use a factory unit and the 6 disc changer in the trunk. After talking with some people at the VW dealer, they can not confirm if I can use the factory unit from a newer Jetta or not. Browsing around on eBay I can find the Monsoon units that say they are for a Jetta or a Golf '99 and up. Can anyone confirm if this unit would in fact work in my Jetta or not?

nope... the 2003 radio is a double din radio (2 times the size) and has different plugin connectors
