I want to know whether or not the OBX Racing Sports B series mufflers are any good for performance? Do they sound good or terrible?
I am thinking about purchasing some pipe and doing the job from the cat back to the muffler. Is this a bad idea or not? I am sure some pipe bending and whatnot will have to take place but I can have a shop do that. |

My humble opinion...dont get generic/universal mufflers. Better to buy a full catback system like GReddy, Blitz, Apex'i than to buy a NO NAME brand like OBX. Their products arent that great. If you want it done right...do it right the first time and dont worry about it ever again...buy quality parts only.
If cost is your quibble...then check used parts from these sites...someone's gotta sell an exhaust sometime... www.240sx.org (under classifieds-then aftermarket) www.thepartstrader.com (under nissan other) www.ebaymotors.com www.freshalloy.com (under classifieds) |

Agreeed. You don't want no generic sounding exhaust. I have a friend with an OBX muffler and a "custom" piping from the cat (no resonators) and his car sounds like your riceburner type. Keep with the name brands, and you will not be regretting your decision.
Good Luck Maurice |
