Re: Classic Mustang Problems

Ok, new problem. I got the 10" torque converter in, the only problem is that it is a 10.5" bolt pattern instead of the 11.XX" bolt patter of the 12" converter that was in there. I realize I need to get a new flexplate to bolt it up, but I'm pretty sure that I have a 164 tooth flex plate right now, and the only flexplates I've found that are 10.5" bolt pattern are 157 tooth. Will a 157 tooth work on mine or am I going to have (more) problems with the starter engauging?

Re: Classic Mustang Problems

the 157/164 tooth will depend on the counter balance weight, 28oz or 50oz or 0/neutral balance.

Re: Classic Mustang Problems

It's a 28oz. balance.
