Auto lights not working

I recently installed a new head unit into a 2000 explorer. Before the headlights stayed on for a long time after i shut the engine off. after the install, the lights go off right after i turn the engine off. The automatic headlights worked for a few weeks, but now they don't work and i have to turn them on manually (not a huuuge problem). I am not sure if this is linked at all to the head unit or not, and it's not a big deal, I'm just trying to figure out why all of a sudden the automatic headlights are not working.

Re: Auto lights not working

Have you verified that the on/duration slider for the auto lights is not slid all the way to the left? The slider I'm referring to is on the bottom portion of the rearview mirror. This slider also controls the "exit delay" that sets how long the lights stay on after the ignition is turned off. To the left decreases how long they stay on, and all the way to the left is off. When off, you need to turn the headlights on and off manually with the switch.

Re: Auto lights not working

Yup, sure enough, that was the problem. Great to have a forum like this to solve even the most dumb problems. Thanks.
