Re: What crazy things have you done with fire and pyrotechnics?

idk if you guys have ever heard of potato launchers but you can make them for like 20 bucks, and if you do, EVERYONE wants to try. all you need is some pvc, a grill lighter or a lantern sparker, and some aerosol, i.e. right gaurd, hairspray, axe... unscented stuf is better because when you ignite, the fragrance burns and after a while the thing has a horrible stench to it. but anyways, back to potato launchers. i dont remember the exact dimensions of mine (it was stolen from me) but heres the website i used the dimensions are there. the lengths are very important, dont guesstimate have them chop it for you at the hardware store.

seriously you guys should all build one. experiment with the amount of spray to find the right mix. i found that it helps to have 2 people when using it, so that right after you are done spraying you can get the endcap on lickety split. and dont use just potatos, either. they get messy if you are shooting out of someones driveway. you can shoot a lot of stuff, like gas-soaked rags with golf balls inside! ive had the most fun of my life with these things, and they make the coolest damn sound ever. like a grenade launcher on crack.

Re: What crazy things have you done with fire and pyrotechnics?

oh yeah i forgot why i was reading this... anyways other stuff i have done: we used to spray paint dog poo silver and light it on fire in my friends backyard. this is where the pyro part of me started. lighter bombs are fun, u take the cheapo clear lighters and you take off the protective grille thingy. then u take the flame- adjuster- gear- mover-thingy all the way to the max and then lift it and bring it over all the way to the left and do it again. kind of hard to explain. keep doing it until the valve is stuck open then light it and throw it at anyone who drives a civic. jk.

if you get a chance go buy a huge roll of green fuse at a fireworks store and cut the fuse into some small pieces, like an inch and a half long. light them one at a time and throw them in the air, they fly around like kirby on crack. sometimes they make cool noises. i always wanted to dump a whole crapload of these into a shoebox and toss a lighter bomb in there. damn that would be crazy. we call these *racial slur* chasers. you know.

m-80's cause hardcore damage, one of my favorites. we were tossing all these fake m-80's into my friends brothers broke ass lincoln, and then he gave me a real one and said this one should be louder. yeah ok. the passenger side window was open like an inch, and i was standing like 8 feet from the car, and i got knocked down. it was nuts. the windshield was completely annihilated, not spiderwebbed or even a small hole, this thing was completely opaque.

lots of other random stuff.one time i was trying to make napalm with styrofoam and gasoline. i didnt have any styrofoam so i used polystyrene (i think???) beads from a beanbag, poured into a 2-liter. after some soaking and mixing, i lit the top of the bottle just to see what would happen and the flame was just chillin on top, just a tiny little flame. then i realized that it would probably explode at some point so i tried to blow it out. bad idea- the flame sucked into the bottle with my head over it and like a split second later shot out a huge blue jet flame and took out my eyebrows and sideburns. so dont blow on stuff guys. sorry for the megahuge posts

Re: What crazy things have you done with fire and pyrotechnics?

i have put sparklers into a beer bottle twice, looks cool but leaves a big mess. I'm not into messing around with fire anymore, mainly because i have nowhere to mess around and with the fire bans down here ill probably get a HUGE fine if i get busted.

oh yeah i tried the sparkler thing after my mate did one but with a 2L coke bottle. I still have a beer bottle filled with sparklers from last year plus alot more in the garage. i wanna lying it on it's side and see if it does anything.

well that pretty much the only thing iv done with fire apart from burning GI-JOES.hahahaha
