Re: Want to swap engines
For starters, the power steering pump is on the wrong side and the single cam tach won't work with a dual cam motor.

Re: Want to swap engines
And ECU obviously. If you can find a complete DE with harness and perhaps new motor mounts. I can't speak firsthand since I've never done that swap, but ti'd seem like the whole swap should be pretty straightforward and it shouldn't be too hard to improvise where needed. Needless to say, you're not the first one who's ever done it. So just search the net for a write up.

Re: Want to swap engines
personally, i would look at a DE bay and a E bay and see the difference in PS lines. I thought it was only the lines needed from the DE needed to be swapped for the mechanical part. Then i guess you've got the ECU and bits. Other than that it shouldnt be too difficult.

Re: Want to swap engines
ka-t ftw....things you'll need.
1. 91-93 ka24de motor/harness/tranny/ecu combo 2. 91-93 cluster (instrument panel) and thats it. game over total cost...500 bucks SR20... 1. $2000-2500 for motor set (all of the above stuff mentioned) 2. cluster $100 4. FMIC (if you custom fab your own...400 bucks) 5. Harness rigging...(free if you do it yourself or aprox. $250 to have it done) 6. 255lph fuel pump. $100 ...total aprox 3k if you do it all yourself now for the same power (or more) for a ka-t. t25/t28 turbo setup 1. turbo (t25 or t28) aprox 150 bucks for a good one 2. oil/coolant lines $100 3. FMIC (as stated above aprox 400 bucks) 5. SAFCII 150 bucks used 6. ECU tune (to be safe) 250 bucks 7. SSautocrack manifold 100 bucks 8. Just for the hell of it, a heat shield for you brake booster $150 total ka-t setup (including motor setup)....1800 bucks...thats turbo setup AND engine setup. way cheaper...and more power. just remember, before getting a motor ALWAYS...i mean ALWAYS do a compression check of the motor...if its not reading ATLEAST 165+ all across the board, dont buy it. or rebuild it...depends how cheap you get the motor. full rebuild on a ka (with aftermarket nearly everything...1800 bucks) then your still in the SR price ball park. and can have a nearly bullit proof motor. but...thats my opinion
