V8 ranger

i am looking at putting a carberated 302 into a two wheel drive ranger and i was wondering why i dont here of anybody putting a c6 trans behind it
instead of a c4 or c5 if you have any info please le me know.

well ford would need to build a car with a 302 and a c6 transmission together for the bellhousing to match up.

take rangers for instance they all have the same manual transmission internally gear wise for the most part. but you cannot swap a 2.3 to a 3.0 because the bellhousings are different. the same for 3.0 to 4.0

find a engine to tranny where the two are merged and it should work.

also seek out communities for stuff like this a v-8 drop into a ranger is not new http://www.rangerpowersports.com/for...splay.php?f=12

Looks like a money pit, but darn kewl idea if it works. I'd be interested in seeing a midship mounted fwd in the bed.
