87 Wrangler--no cluthch pressure!

recently I lost all pressure on our clutch pedal. I can no longer get into gear. I do not see any fluids leaking on the floor. I do not think I have a bad clutch, but maybe it is a hydrolic problem. Any ideas on how to fix?

Re: 87 Wrangler--no cluthch pressure!

I know exactly the problem, cause i just fixed the same problem on my 89 wrangler. You need to replace your slave cylinder. The part cost me 140.00 at the parts store. You will save alot of money if you can do it yourself. Get a buddy to help, definately a two man job. You have to drop your transmission......UNLESS YOUR SLAVE CYLINDER IS ON THE OUTSIDE. I happen to have the Asian tranny so my slave cylinder was on the inside of the bell housing. Had to separate the engine and tranny and lower tranny on jack a little. After you get that far it is a breeze. Took us 4 or 5 hours on a saturday joking and messin around. Good Luck
