Evo 3 swap?

ok, im thinking of swapping the EVO3 4g63t into my 1990 GSX, i researched it awhile ago, im trying to remember everything, im pretty sure it is a direct swap besides the ECU and tranny, but i seem to remeber something about having to swap the transfer case as well becuase of something not meshing correctly? or is that only with the USDM 4g63t?
And i can no longer find and EVO3 motor, will an EVO4 motor drop in the same???

Re: Evo 3 swap?

not too sure about the swap but an evo 4 motor will definitely not suit because its was turned around 180 degrees from the evo 3 to evo 4

Re: Evo 3 swap?

talk about bringing up a dead issue....
i came to realize that shortly after posting this....
and did end up finding a place that sells the 3 motor...
they told me if i chopped off my left arm and right leg it would be in the mail...
i decided to wait for my tax return instead...
should be done within a month...
ill be sure to post pics
