Here's one I just can't figure out.....

Ok I have a 95, 350 code K....this burb has a hesitation, mainly at low speed when you hit the brakes, it almost seems as if it's going to stall when stopping. Sometimes it does it when I'm just going down the road or when taking off with slight acceleration. Other than that everything else is great but it's really irritating. I haven't tested the fuel presure, but have no issues with power or hesitation when really getting on the gas.

There are no codes, I've replaced the fuel filter, O2 sensor, TPS and AIC valve. I'm really out of ideas at this point and any info would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

Refresh my memory. Is the '95 still a TBI? It seems like the full-sized truckes weren't a "Vortec" SFI until 1996 or '97.

Re: Here's one I just can't figure out.....

Just at first thought here, sounds like a torque conv problem. My 90( should be the same setup) does it all the time. The lock up stays locked uped.<nice word> My converter will stay locked up till like almost nothing for speed.

I had a very similar problem with my 99. I replaced the fuel filter, AIC... It turns out it was a short in the wiring of the dvd player we had installed.

Re: Here's one I just can't figure out.....

Thanks for the responses....Ok, yes it's a TBI setup, and I've fooled around with it a little bit and I can get it to hesitate if I just give it a little gas when in park, then when it comes down to idle it almost stalls again. So I guess that rules out the TC even though that was a good suggestion.
I forgot to mention I did do a tune up: cap, rotor, plugs, and also replaced all of the ground wires.
At this point I'm thinking possible fuel presure is too low, I know testing it can be a real pain, I think it's supposed to be 9-15 psi but I'm not sure, if someone could confirm this for me. Also I'm not sure if a leak in the intake manifold would cause something like this to happen and I wouldn't know how to really check for it. Thanks!

Re: Here's one I just can't figure out.....

Fuel Pressure specs are 9 - 13 PSI.

Check all vacuum hoses. Especially the ones to the MAP, EGR and EGR solenoid.

Also check the IAC (might be sticking or not functioning).
