LS ------>Type R change over??

I'm possibly looking to do a complete changeover from my 2000 LS to a type R or GSR. Will one or both of these engines fit and is there anything else I shud know. And does anybody know how much install would be???

it will fit..in fact, it will be easy..so easy you might say it was fun.
a b18c5 (type r) changeover should run you around 5000...for the engine...i dont know about the pricing on the install. but honestly..try it yourself..get a good book (helms manual) and a friend who knows enough to change a tire...and you should be all set.

hmm..then go for the b18c1. it will save you around $1500 for the later mods. with 1500 you should be able to beat a type r.

Forced induction?

If you want to go forced induction (turbo or super), it wouldn't do you any significant good to upgrade the motor to a B18C*. The B18B does great for turbo applications.

If you're looking to go all motor, the B18C1 plus modification will be the best bet. All the cool parts of the B18C5 are probably things you'll be replacing anyways when it's time to work on the internals.

there is no way to do an LS/RS/GS/GS-R to ITR conversion.. even if you do the hubs, brakes, suspension, engine conversion the ITR will still produce better lap times on any road course, why?

the ITR has special chassis-stiffening and lightening mods that are unique to the ITR. you would have to replicate these mods to do a full conversion

you might come close, but you will never replicate the ITR without getting.. well.. an ITR

We'll see.....

I pretty sure you can tune a LS suspension to handle better than an ITR. Granted, you are talking about a lot of suspension parts, but im sure it can be done.....and im on my way.
