After market stereo

I recently bought a JVC MP3 deck for my 91 Buick Park Avenue Ultra. I installed it myself (always do). I played a cd and noticed I was not getting bass in my back speakers. I played with the settings all it has is a sub control but I have no subs. Could this be bad wiring?

Re: After market stereo

With a BOSE system I see each speaker assembly has its own source power through Fuse 5 20amp underhood fuse.

I see no diffrention from bass or other.. perhaps you have a BOSE.

Elsewise

The radio impedance doesnt match the speakers.. 4 ohms vrs 8 ohms or such.

Good Luck

Re: After market stereo

Are you running your new head unit with the factory Delco speakers? Reason I ask is because the JVC deck may be way too powerful for stock mids. As long as you hear any clear sound coming from all the speakers, your wiring is good. My Alpine head unit slaughtered the factory speakers, and it still sounds weak in even a newer set of Jensen 6x9s in the back. I think I just need better rear speakers.
If the above isn't the case, say you have new, higher output mids in the back, a separate amp may be the solution.
