1/43 Tameo Ferrari F2004M
I got this kit a while back, maybe a year or so.. been sitting in my pile and i've been itching to build it since I haven't built any 1/43 scale kits or F1 kits, so I decided to start it.. Plus it fits into the 60th anniversary group build too.
![]() Not much done yet, i've been cleaning the metal up. Glued on some side wing parts..

Re: 1/43 Tameo Ferrari F2004M
Good choice!!!
I have to do this one just when i finish F248. i decided to join 2 kits,f2004 with engine and this kit. In fact,it's the same car of 2004 with small differences. |

Re: 1/43 Tameo Ferrari F2004M
I do have a question about working with metal. How do you fill gaps? Regular putty? Special putty for metal? epoxy putty? Any special techniques?

Re: 1/43 Tameo Ferrari F2004M
So,i use normal tamiya putty, but is ok car repair putty too.
Suggestions? Follow the instructions....Is it ur first 1/43,isnt'it? it is a difficult kit to begin, but i think u had a good start! Take care in rear car section at small horizontal flap. So ,if u have questions........... Regards. |

Re: 1/43 Tameo Ferrari F2004M
Is there any model of the F2004 in 1:24 or 1:20 which is at an affordable price? Studio27 or so are much too expensive for me

Re: 1/43 Tameo Ferrari F2004M
Well.. I thought I was gonna be cool like the guy on the japanese site and use solder to fill the gap on the underside of the nose cone.. well, I must've bought the wrong kind of solder because this stuff didn't sand easily and it took me about 2 hours to fix it.. bleh.. (plus it's only the 2nd time i've used a soldering iron.. heh, heh.. ) I'll show some pics tomorrow, but it's smooth now.

Re: 1/43 Tameo Ferrari F2004M
In my model i Use to sold white metal parts.
They are fixed well ,simple to sand by files and ,overall,Has got the same surface of the rest of the model. It's Very helpful way when i have to devided 2 flaps of the same wing. I sold the edge with a small line of solder then i sand it up to correct shape. Easily strong and fast! p.s For ur information.....The guy is AKIHIRO KAMIMURA and he wrote On F1 MODELING Magazine.... I named him The MASTER MODELER!!! Now u Know y! |
