2000 grand prix gt mp3 adapter?

Any of you guys know or can recommend an mp3 player adapter that actually fits for a 2000 gp gt? I bought a standard adapter that goes into the lighter, but our cars are pretty tight in between the ashtray compartment and the shifter, as I'm sure many of you realized, so it didn't fit. Also, I only have a CD player so I can't use a tape deck adapter either? Any ideas or am I out of luck? Thanks a lot.

If there are Aux inputs on the back of the head unit you could use a patch cable with the small jack on one end and the RCA style connectors on the other.

Whe I had the head unit out I do not recall if the head unit has RCA inputs on the back.

Doesn't your car have an aux 12v outlet on the passenger side of the center console?

Re: 2000 grand prix gt mp3 adapter?

I remember asking a simmilar question like that and got no responses. the stock head units dont have rca inputs in the back, i think there is however some other type of input on the back. if anyone does come up with a way let us know. it sure would be nice to have my mp3 player directly connected to my sterio, instead of the FM transmitter.

Its a very odd looking plug and im not sure which pin in it is for what. I belive the input is for if you have the 6 disc changer option in the trunk. here is a pic of the back of our stereo:
