2000 Ls V8 Hesitates Between 20 To 60mph
I Have A 2000 Ls V8 With 110k Miles Auto Trans.
The Car Hesitates When You Are Driving Usually In Overdrive Beween 20 To 65mphs. Specially When The Rpm's Drom At 2 Or Below It's Not The Tranny Because I Had It Fixed 2k Miles Ago Didn't Pass 2nd Gear. (solenide Pack) The Fuel Filter Was Also Replaced Along With 8 New Coils What Could Be The Problem.. |

Re: 2000 Ls V8 Hesitates Between 20 To 60mph
Welcome to the forum!
Were the spark plugs replaced when the coils were replaced? Why were the coils replaced? If they were replaced due to a misfire, was there evidence of oil on the coils? If so, the valve cover gaskets and plug well seals should have been replaced too. If the seals and gaskets were not replaced, then there is a good chance you are experiencing another misfire due to the oil leak. -Rod |

Re: 2000 Ls V8 Hesitates Between 20 To 60mph
My 2000 Lincoln had that problem too, it later developed into the engine completely shutting down randomly. Read my post to see all the symptoms, It's under "2000 Lincoln LS engine cuts out". The problem has yet to be fixed, listen to shorod he has lots of good ideas and knowledge.

Re: 2000 Ls V8 Hesitates Between 20 To 60mph
Hi Rod How Are You. Thanks 4 The Reply
The, Coils Where Replaced 3k Miles After The Spark Plugs Where Replaced, And The S. Plugs Where Replaced Because The Mechanic Said That Could Be The Problem Since I Bought The Car With 108k He Said The S.plugs Should Be Replaced At 100k. And The Mechanic Said The Coils Where Humid When They Where Removed So I Guess It Was Oil. Is There Some Change It Could Also Be The Fuel Pump Thanks |

Re: 2000 Ls V8 Hesitates Between 20 To 60mph
If your issue were a fuel pressure issue, it would likely exhibit the issue at higher RPMs (where fuel demand is higher) than at or below 2k RPMs as you mention.
The 2000 model year had known issues with leaking spark plug well seals. If your coils are moist with oil, you will keep putting coils in the car until you get the oil leak fixed. -Rod |
