No Heat in Chicago!
I have a 94 Caprice and i was overseas for a month and upon my arrival i find that the heat isnt workin, it just blows out extremely cold air and a wierd smell accompnies the cold air. Do i need an thermostat or what, any help is appreciated...

By odd smell do you mean sweet smell? If is it that is coolant and the core is likely plugged and leaking from the pressure buildup the blockage caused.
If the smell is something else probably need to flush the heater core, these cars are old and sediment can accumulate in neglected cooling systems restricting flow through the heater core.
