First Model in Thirty Years

Hi All,

When I was a kid my brother was into model aircraft, so I had a go at cars, very short lived. However, now that I am just an aged kid, I have gone back to modelling once more.
Below are photo's of my first model in thirty odd years, Revell Escort MkII Rally. Barring the rims and body, everything else was hand painted .
I know it is not very good, but this was before I came here and was introduced to the awe inspiring crafts people in this forum.
I now know about things like putty, primer, sanding out ejector pin marks, and all the other good things that are most likely taken for granted.

Hope you enjoy, and all comments are welcome!!!

Matt

Looks pretty good for the long lay off. The finish is hard with brush paint but yours didn't come out to bad. Whats next?

Thanks for the feedback,
Aoshima Toyota 200gt sillhouette racer (conversion from toy to reasonable model), Revell BMW320i Gr5 (super detail, WIP to follow), Fujimi BMW M3 E30(resurrected partly built kit to South African tuner style), Aoshima Mazda RX7 Savannah SA22C (just love these wide body cars). Tamiya Toyota GT One and Fujimi Porsche 917K, (these two scare the hell out of me!!)

That isn`t to bad for brushing the paint on. Nice touch with the added details like the seat belts and header weathering!
Welcome!
