Re: Demon Speeding WIP

I´m going to do so. I´ll start when I get enough money to buy Prismacolor pencils (Or something else what you could recommend, since I cant buy Prismacolors from Finland. I found other pensil makes but IMO they could be OK too, since I´m only a hobbyist )

No.. I´m not scared to use color. I just want to learn to shade with color pencils, since normal grey "writing pencils" looks dull.

Re: Demon Speeding WIP

Yeah... it could have some work but it´s kinda hard to fix now. I try to make my next work much better with perspective and stuff.
BTW this is my first colour shaded work :P

Re: Demon Speeding WIP

4x4 tire tread is hard to do no matter who you are...in my opinion anyway.

George Trosley has a great how to do 4x4 in his how to toon cars book. http://www.georgetrosley.com

On thing I've found that helped me in the past is to exaggerate the recession. On the far side (side farthest away from the eye) pinch those points and drop the tread shape back. remember it curves so curve it way back.

Very nice piece. Nice perspective. Nice style.

Post more.

Re: Demon Speeding WIP

Thanks both of you!
lemorris Yeah..George Trosley inspiret me to do "toon" style things Somehow I just prefer toon more because it´s easyer to catch the feeling and emotion. I´ve been following his tutorials and I can tell that the "starting from box" style is awesome. It helps me to keep the perspectivity somewhat right.

Now since I have practised I feel like drawing off-road stuff more. I own a Suzuki SJ410 ´85 so I need to do it next :P

Thanks again everybody for the nice and helpful input!
