Gear ratio?
I have a 1997 4x4 tahoe and the rearend is shot on it. How do i go about determining what gear ratio i have? Besides the obvious of pulling the cover and counting. I heard that there might be a tag on it, is this true? can i tell by the vin? any advise would be greatly appericiated! ~Corey~

Re: Gear ratio?
There should be a SPID sticker in the glove box with a bunch of RPO codes on it.
Find all of them that start with G and then look up what gear ratio you have here http://www.c2e.info/rpocodes/MODERNGMRPO.html Most likely 3.73s. //2000CAYukon |
