programming key less entry for '03 Caravan

I bought an '03 Caravan about 2 years ago and at the time was told it had key less entry but came with the wrong fob. At the dealership was told that said car did NOT have key less. I still thought it did based on the amount of options it came with. E-mailed Chrysler and had them run the vin. What do you know I was right. I ordered a fob on line and thought I had the instructions to program it myself. It came today and the instructions I was given don't work. I can only find info on how to do it if you already have a working fob. I don't. Does any one know how to program the fob myself. I really don't want to pay the dealership to do something that I can do myself. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Using a functional key fob transmitter, unlock the vehicle and disarm the Vehicle Theft Security System.
Insert ignition key into the ignition switch.
Turn the ignition switch to RUN position without starting engine.
Using a functional key fob transmitter, press and hold the UNLOCK button for a minimum five seconds (maximum ten seconds).
While still holding UNLOCK button, and before ten seconds passes, press the PANIC button and release both at the same time. A single chime will sound to indicate that the transmitter programming mode has been entered (allow 3 seconds for chime to sound).
Within 30 seconds of the chime, press and release the “LOCK” and “UNLOCK” buttons on the transmitter at the same time. Then press and release any button on the same transmitter and a chime will sound after successfully programming the transmitter.
Repeat steps 5 and 6 for all transmitters that will be used with this vehicle (up to 4 total).
Turn ignition to the OFF position. Transmitter programming mode will discontinue after 60 seconds. All transmitter programming must be completed within time specified.
