Design my trunk....
Ok, I want everyone to help with this. I had the way I was going to make my system in my trunk all picked out and everything, but my subs are too big for it to work that way. So now I'm leaving it all up to you guys to design the set-up in my trunk, I'll pic the one I like the best and do it. All out of wood, no fiberglass, and maybe a little plexi-glass work, nothing fancy and no plexi on the speaker box. Pics are greatly appreciated. Here's what we have to work with: two 15" subs
two amplifiers Dimensions: 10.95"W x 2.3"H x 8.3"L one amplifier Dimensions: not sure, but a little smaller than other two

build a false floor for the subs and have the amps "floating" on racks over the subs. then have small spotlights shining on the amps

j/p, the reason why I don't want to is cause I'm cheap and want it fairly simple and I have less than 2 months to do everything.

Yeh false floor is the ay to go. With out my spare tire I have a little over a cubic foot of space where it should go. How much air space do your subs need? Is this going to be sealed, bandpass, etc...? The only pain in the ass about a flase floor is making the mold for the bottom. By the way this isn't my car, but I love the way he set it up.

I agree that the 2 15" subs should be set in a sealed false floor. (But, is that enough volume to tune them @ 20Hz?
) If not, you could also put them in separate "boxes" on both sides of the trunk firing towards the trunk hatch... or slightly forward/backward.If the amps are from the same manufacter, share the same exterior design and width, I would link them together on the same sliding rack. Simple & clean...

I mean to tune the subs to have a flat frequency response from 20Hz to 160 Hz... Ya know what I mean?

u can make a false floor without having to remove the spare. just make the false floor over it and have hinges so u can lift the floor to access your spare. btw, it would be good to get a space-saver tire from a delsol |
