Re: What do you guys think of this kit..

Yeah, the place for it is on my cluster, but it never lights up. Maybe 2000 was the last year they had performance shift buttons, but anyway, the '98 GTP I drove is the only one I've seen that lit up in the cluster instead of the DIC. My '97 didn't, and my '99 doesn't, even though the '99 at least has the light in the cluster, because you can see it if you get the light to hit it just right. So if the '98 GTP was the only model to have the Performance Shift light enabled in the cluster, that's comparatively only a small number of cars that would even need that light, so they probably didn't bother making the aftermarket gauges with it.

The only models that have it are the 1997-2000 GTX and GTP.

Re: What do you guys think of this kit..

Yeah, and of 1997-2000, if you look at total GP's produced, the number of 1998 GTP's or GTX's (The ones that need the Performance Shift light in the cluster) is small indeed. Probably the people that made those aftermarket gauges weren't aware that there was a need for that light, since apparently '98 was the ONLY year it was needed. They probably saw that it was on the DIC in the ones they looked at, and just didn't put that light there. The cost of producing a separate cluster with that light specifically for the '98s when there really isn't that many of them was probably counterproductive, because they probably wouldn't sell enough of them to cover the cost of making a special one for that year.

Do they have a ground effect kit for a 2 door 2000 Grand Prix GTP similar to the ones on a Monte Carlo SS?
