Smile Re: How many miles do you have your Isuzu?

1993 Isuzu Rodeo LS
2wd Drive 5 speed
3.2 Liter V6
Miles 209000

I have 209,000 miles.

I had one major problem, that was the bearing in my transmission at 117,000 miles, it died. I replaced it, it cost $1100 dollars, also at the time I replaced master and slave and clutch plate, cant remember what that cost.

I replaced the stock radiator with a metal one, then replaced again with a metal one, then replaced again with a plastic one, the got the plastic one repaired. Still working so far I believe the last change was at 180000.

Hydraulic lifters make noise when they want. Its the known issue we all hear about about Rodeo, Maybe they arent called Hydraulic Lifters, but the noise is noise.

I have had a main seal leak for over a hundred thousand miles, it hasn't gotten worse, I have never seen oil on the ground and I add only every week, maybe a bottle every two weeks. I also had valve cover gaskets that needed to be replaced for about a hundred thousand miles, finally replaced them. Hip Hip Horray!

Changed stock front brakes at 192,000 miles, and was told they really didn't need to be changed. I have a manual so maybe I am doing something right. Perhaps. Yes 192,000 miles. I need a power window driver side controller, I need a new moonroof and assembly. The end

I have driven from coast to coast and back, no problems. My next car will be a Lexus

Re: How many miles do you have your Isuzu?

Rodeo LS 4WD
2001
3.2 V6
185K (mostly hwy)
A/C compressor replaced due to bad clutch (can't replace clutch alone as in the good old days)
Rotors have a bad habit of warping and need resurfacing - Mechanic friend says they are made out of softer materials these days and is a pretty common problem.
Otherwise great truck - No other problems (everything works)
