Some not-so-new images of chassis #060...

Or at least the F1 strongly believed to be #060.

I actually made these images as screengrabs from a video shared by peter i in this thread: Visit Mclaren F1 service center ELG engineering (japan) almost a year and a half ago. You'll see that bucciali made a request for screenshots ever so long ago and of course I had planned to share them sooner, but never really got around to it.

I'm trying a new method of hosting images through Imagestation. Since their process to download the original file is so tedious, I think I have found a way to allow you to save them without ever visiting the album.

Just Right-Click on the link below each image and select "Save Target As..." from the pop-up menu like you would do if trying to download a video file. It has worked for me so far, and will hopefully work the same for all of you.

Note: If you just click on the link you will be blocked from viewing the image by their software.


Unfortunately even the original images are small at just 640x480 resolution, and because they were made from a video the image quality is not going to be perfect. Still, it is quite rare to see an F1 still "in the wrapper" as this one is, and there are only 2 real photos of this car that I have seen. So, having all these screenshots is a very nice treat I think.

Before anyone has the chance to ask:
The white F1 in shot #068 should be chassis #031. The plate is a match, it has the windshield banner, and you can almost see the black "McLaren" sticker it wears on it's luggage doors.

The dark colored F1 in the next shots #069 & #070 should be chassis #003 based on the license plate and the Citroen-style mirrors you can just barely see.

If you have trouble downloading the images using the method I described up above, you can always resort to visiting the album and doing it the old fashioned (PITA) way. Here's the link:

BTW: The links to the video are probably no longer active in that old thread (I didn't even try them), but if anyone would like to see it I would be happy to upload it again to somewhere like YouTube, or put the file up on YouSendIt and provide the link. Just ask...

PS not sure about the GM 'tattoo' on the rear - looks sort of ok on #013 as the cars colour mutes it a bit, but it looks like a scrape or a dead fly on the bright yellow

You may need to be cookied by Imagestation in order to download them. As I said, worst case there is always the regualar way by going through the album.
