IROC Pics

Hey! Does anyone have any pictures of an IROC race chassis that includes the suspension? I don’t know if it’s the same as NASCAR or what. It doesn’t matter what year. I just have an ideal I’m working on in my head and need to look at one to see if it will work. I searched the web to no prevail.

Well!!! No, I talking about the International Race of Champions. They used Chevy Camaros, Dodge Daytonas, Pontiac Firebirds and now a custom car resembling the Firebirds. I know it saids "International" but there not many racers that are not from a USA racing Program, ie; NASCAR, IRL CART, Sprint Car and a few more.

To answer you question, yes...and no.

I have built an IROC Porsche from the '73/'74 inaugural season (the next season they went to Camaros), and have pics of it's chassis but I don't think that's what you are looking for.

Not sure where you'll find information; someone out there must have a vintage IROC racer that they've got photos of. A couple of the vintage IROC Porsches show up at various events, so digging around Google might find you pictures.

Thanks, I searched MSN all night and came up with nothing. I will try google next. You would think there a site that would have this info, not even the IROC site has anything. NASCAR.com has the info I would be looking for if I want their cars setup.

It sounds like your talking about the newer IROC Cars. which yes, the chassis's are very similer to there NASCAR counterpart, there almost a carbon copy to be truthful, if you looking to build one, Modern Motorsports used to produce a resin IROC body to use with the Revell NASCAR chassis, but it is'nt listed on there web site anymore.

It's a typical NASCAR chassis made to fit the Firebird contours.

Thanks for ya'll help. There are not any pics the IROC chassis on the web that I can find. Gasman, thats good info, if the cars are like NASCAR that helps alot. It kind of deflates an ideal I had, but I will look a little closer to the NASCAR chassis.
