m5 owner considering e38 740

Hi,

I have a great 1990 e34 m5 but due to ever increasing maintenance costs am considering a 1996 e38 740i & wonder if anyone can comment on difference in handling I may experience & running costs.

Re: m5 owner considering e38 740

Won't be much difference in running costs or maintenance.
It's a softer driving experience in a 740i with the cornering being a bit more wallow'y.
I'd recommend picking an e38 with full BMW service history and recent replacement of things like tyres, radiator, brake pads, suspension parts etc.
