everytime a hit a small bump i hear a noise

2005 Dodge Grand Caravan v6 45k miles
Everytime a hit a small bump i hear a clack or sound from the front tire area by the shocks area. The van is still new, should the shocks, struts or anyhting in that area be out?

Thanks

I would do a good underbody wash first, could be some mud or even ice buildup(depending on your area). With that out of the way, then try to narrow it down.

these new caravans seem to have that problem. The problem usally lies in the sway bar link bushings. They tend to give way very quikly. I had the same problem with a 01 caravan with about 50k miles. There are many post on that subject.

We have a 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan and sounds like similar problem. Sway bushings needed to be replaced and just recently at 55K, both of the tie rod ends needed to be replaced. Going over bumps you could hear a knock coming from the front end.

MNGolfer, what did that cost you? Did you replace them? If so, was it easy?

Thanks

Oh cool, so they covered it. We still have a warranty on the van, I may have to sit up there and let them do it.
Thanks!

Sway bar end links 9 time out of 10.As you rolled out of the lot they were quickly going away.
