Post 99 cougar changing alt

does anyone know how to change the alt on this car if anyone has any info please help it is a 99 cougar with V6 2.5L saddle mount alt thank you for the info

I know there is a how-to over on the contour forums (see sig) since the contour is essentially the same vehicle. Im sure the cougar forums (www.newcougar.org) has one too.

hello, i would like a direct link on how to take one out also. mine is on a 99 too. i think you have to drop the cv shaft. no sure, but can some one clear this up for us?

thanks, its different o a cougar, but it still got the job done. had it out and new one in about an 1 and a half. only diff is that the top on has to be pulled from bottom with two swivels and long extensions. can't remove at top because the coil pack sits further back towards the driver side and cant get any turn on it there. but tha nks a million. i owe you a beer!!!
