Re: 66 super sport chevelle

To get the specific information you'd need the build sheet. It's a paper card about 3 1/2" by 8" that is found in strange and hard to find places within the car. Sometimes it's under the gas tank, sometimes in the seat springs. They get real brittle and will disintegrate so if you do find it, handle it carefully and preserve it. That sheet will list all the options for your car. But If I were you, I'd look for that second. First I'd get the engine stamp code like SpinnerCee suggested. Tom

Re: 66 super sport chevelle

Sounds like good news. The VIN starting with 138 designates it as an original Super Sport. I believe the years that you can't tell from the VIN if it's a Super Sport or not start in 1968.

I think actually it's 69 and up, could be mistaken.

Anyway that car from the original post is only worth $900 bucks. Who do I make the check out too, or do you prefer cash ???

I got a lot of Chevelle nuts a my site if you care to ask there. I'm sure someone would love to help you out.

I.
Lineman,
You're right about '69 - up for the vin #'s.

And I think if ANYONE has a chance to buy it from him, it should be the first person that replied to his post for information.
$900 cash sounds about right.
