98 Chev 1500 Security Light ON??

I have a 98 Chev 1500 and while I'm driving my security light will occasionally come on and stay on untill I shut the truck down and restart it. No problems result from it yet but I am trying to be preventative. Can someone give me some guidance as to what may be causing this before I end up dead on the side of the road?

You need to find a good repair shop with a engine/body computer capable scanner to check it out.
If you can get any codes post back code no.
