BMW dealership 3D model

So I was trying to find a program (for free) that I could model cars in. But I found this one and found it was not suited for cars. So I decided to model the BMW dealership I work at. Its not spot on but it's pretty close. And the drawing was the construction company's conceptual drawing so it isnt exactly right either. Took me darn near 3 hours too. I dont know how to take pics of the screen, then where to find them so I just took pics with my phone. Lower quality but its all good. It was my first 3D model so cut me some slack.

Construction's concept:

Since I work there and am advertising for them I may as well:

Re: BMW dealership 3D model

yea SketchUp is a good program, but you can still model cars

if you go to google and type in "3-D warehouse" there should be a site at the very top with a whole bunch of different models, go to the search bar and type in "car" or something and there are some preaty wild ones out there, like an SLR mclaren with the door up and you can into the interior.

nice building too!

you could do the interior easily if you wanted to

just make those windows transparent and create some more squares underneath or even import some BMW models that other people have made from that google 3-d warehouse.

If ya need to know how to do that, ill tell you

If you have a PC there should be a button above the "Insert" key that says "Print Screen". If you press it, it will copy the whole page and you can paste it into a program like Paint or PhotoShop.

Try using Blender, www.blender.org... its free and not a bad 3D app at all. ( if you want to model cars ) or if you can get your hands on 3Ds Max, then your laughing!

Re: BMW dealership 3D model

I don't know if you alredy tried, but you can use Zmodeler. It's used for games, but it's quite nice, and your files can be converted to be rendered/used in other programs such as 3dsmax. Just search in google for it!
