91 Tracker computer problems

I bought a 1991 Tracker, with a bad computer. I purchased a used computer and installed it, it ran fine for about fifty starts and then died. I don't want to buy a $450 rebuilt computer and have it fail. Is there something wrong with the Tracker to keep blowing the computer? or is it possible that it was the first used computer that was almost done?

Probably the latter. Get a rebuilt one off eBay with a warranty for $200.
