Re: 2000 Grand Prix Radio Removal
You just pull off the dash and theres a couple screws you take off that hold the radio in place and pull it out, thats it. Very Simple.

Re: 2000 Grand Prix Radio Removal
I pulled out the radio and pushed it back in and the RED LCD Display where it displays the song #, or the radio station # is blank. You can see the radio station is really dark. The Red LCD Display is not there.

Re: 2000 Grand Prix Radio Removal
It is the same procedure for 2000 and up as far as removing the dash panels. Take it or leave it.

Re: 2000 Grand Prix Radio Removal
The RED LCD Display, is not lighting up anymore. It is blank with the letters in dark red. The blacklight is black and not red like it was before.

Re: 2000 Grand Prix Radio Removal
What work did you do when you removed the stock radio? Was the battery negative cable disconnected before starting work? Even though the lamp looks good did you check it with a multimeter and ohm it out? Hopefully, you did not burn out the display driver IC.
