Question 2000 Intrigue Stalling

I have a 2000 Intrigue that I just bought in Sept. About 3 weeks ago the car began hesitating when starting and then the car would just stall when idiling at about 1000 RPM's. Now the car has actually tried to stall or has stalled when driving. I took it to my mechanic and he sent me to the chevy dealer for a diagonistic. They ran the diagnostic and said that there is nothing wrong with any computer part but he thought it may be a ground somewhere. Has anyone had this problem or can anyone offer any ideas about what might be the cause. I love this car, but really worried about what the issue may be. Thanks in advance for any help! Dawn

Re: 2000 Intrigue Stalling

I had same problem. It was the ignition switch, while driving the voltage to the ignition switch would drop to zero and the car would stall. Repaced ignition no more problems.

Re: 2000 Intrigue Stalling

I recently had the same problem and had to replace the ignition cylinder lock (the part the key fits into). Basically the ignition had worn out over time and was enabling the passlock security feature which was causing my vehicle to stall and the regular display panel ligts to come on SES, Airbag, etc. Once I replaced the iginition I had no more problems. Good Luck!
