04 Burb frnt susp clunk?

I have had this Suburban for about 6 months and about a month ago it started to clunk left front under minor bumps. It only has 30k on it. Anyone familiar with this problem?

Still under warranty? Take it back to the dealer.
Might just be the steering shaft..there is a bulletin and tons of threads on that issue..do a search.

Re: 04 Burb frnt susp clunk?

I saw some others talking about the shaft problems, it sounds and feels more like it is coming from the control arm area. Would this still be the shaft problem? It seems like the people who have had the shaft problem fixed have had the problem come back. Could there be a underlying problem? It looks like you are a certified GM tech, have you had any of these come back after being fixed? I saw a tech bulletin for this syptom, but will have to pay to read it. I will link it if i can find it again.

Could be the upper or lower ball joint on that side--except with only 30,000 it shouldn't have bad ball joints. However I have seen a new suburban with no grease in the front end from the factory.
