Where can I find the code to reset the keyless entry pad on my 1989 maxima?

I am not sure about the 89, but in my old 94 you would be able to find the reset code under the dash of the passenger side, printed on a small piece of metal way up in there. Stretch your back muscles before you try this maneuver.

I only know that on 1987 or 1988 model, the code is around the speak on passenger side in the trunk. Look for it.

My question is once I get the code, how could I reset the custom code?

You can try www.keylessride.com (they have factory remotes)

I think that they'll charge you $20 (not sure) for the programming instructions. I saw a thread on www.mycoupons.com that had prices for different models and remotes compared to the dealer.

1987 model and need to find the factory code. Is there any other
place the code could be.
