replacing 90 camry horn

Horn stopped working last year but then started again. Stopped again, can hear a clicking (the relay, right?) when I press the horn and hazards do work. I located the horns and removed one, there is a wire that ran into a boot coming off the horn, when I removed the horn the wire just slid out of the boot. I also saw that there was another harness connecting onto the horn and one end of the plastic connection was broken off. I saw no wire going into the boot on the second horn, that harness was intact though. So my questions are:

Should there have been a wire going into the second horns boot?

If so should it have come from the other horn or where the wire leads out going to the first, and I have no idea what the contraption is the wire is coming out of

Here is a link to photos I've taken.

Any help advice would be appreciated. And yes I will be replacing the horns, any tips on how to do this would be great.

Thanks

Re: replacing 90 camry horn

On my '93 the diagram shows a green/white wire from the relay going to each horn. You can download a manual here

and see if it shows you anything.
