that's the special thing I haven't told you about.. I'm using the "asphalt" mirrors.. they're sitting there.. I think the look great.. although this is a gravel car I will use them

And if you're using the asphalt mirrors, you should have removed the standard mirror mounts.

Hi Rickard,when you painted your bodyshell did you mask up the black areas on the rear precisely or did you paint it roughly and the decal covered the join between the black and the white? If so how well did the decal cover the black? Is the decal see through on the white stripe or is it solid enough to cover the black?
I have this kit in my to do pile and this was one of the things I was concerned about.Your model is looking really good.My personal view is that I'm not too keen on the asphalt mirrors,though if you like them you should keep them.Look forward to more progress pictures.

I painted the black and white and there was a Join in between the colors.. I sanded it away and it's flat at the moment.. and Also the decal is not "see-trough".. you cannot see a difference between the white and black under the decal if that's what you mean?

And for the mirror.. I forgot to sand the original mirror-holders of.. :/ But when finished I don't think this will be all to visible.. and also.. the reason I used those mirrors are because I really like the look of the car with those on.. I think it looks really good !

Yes,that is what I was asking about the decal.Thanks for the information Rickard.I'll know how best to do the painting when I build mine now.

I have finished up the body today.. this is what I have been doing since the last update.. tough job I'm telling you :roll:

But I am really happy with it.. It has a nice shine on it

And now I will keep on working on the interior

I have started on the interior now.. pretty much a bunch of stuff left to do.. But I'm trying to put as much details in it as possible..

List of scratched things:
*Seatbelts
*4 cameras
*map
*the rally-map? (the ones for each stage)
*totally remade roll-bar
*Cooler in the back
*2 Fireextinguishers
*Cellphone
*And offcourse alot of wiring

Ohh and I also removed the left front window and put a scratched on that is rolled down so you can see the details better..
