I am in a very remote part of the world, Bangui, Central African Republic, with a 99 Isuzu Trooper that won't start. The engine tuns over but doesn't start. The car recently had a front end collision and this may have screwed up the alarm system. I assume that the alarm has killed the motor. Is there a way of bypassing the alarm or removing it all together? Does anyone have a schematic for this? I appreciate any help. It's not like I can go to an official Isuzu garage mechanic.

Re: Trooper 98, alarm suspect - disable engine
Hope this helps. I question whether this is the problem, however, as the alarm system disables the starter so it won't crank, I believe from looking at this. I am no expert, but one owners opinion. I don't know about bypassing the alarm, but check for spark and fuel before worrying about the alarm as long at it cranks. Did the car run at any time after the collision? good luck.
