Weird smell in 4wd

There's a wierd smell coming from the engine compartment when I put my '03 TB in 4wd. It almost smells like burning rubber. Any Ideas what this may be?

If it's not accompanied by any other concerns, it's probably just the engine running hotter from the increased load put on it from 4wd mode.
