Disconnecting factory alarm
Is there a simple way to disconnect the Factory alarm on a 1994 Continental? The alarm every so often goes off for no apparent reason, and my family really does not need the alarm, so rather than deal with something we don't need I figure we should have it disconnected. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Disconnect battery ground cable. 2. Open the luggage compartment door. 3. Remove luggage compartment front trim cover. 4. Remove two screws retaining anti-theft alarm control to RH side relay panel. Remove anti-theft alarm control. 5. Disconnect electrical connectors from anti-theft alarm control. 6. To install, reverse Removal procedure. ![]() PS This may interest you as well: Fuses, In-Line There are two in-line fuses located inside the luggage compartment leading from the alarm relay. To replace, disconnect the battery ground cable. Separate the in-line fuse holder and remove the fuse. Replace with the same type fuse. Connect the fuse holder and connect the battery ground cable. Check system operation.
