Power Steering Leak
Hi
Wondering if anyone has any info on how the two power steering lines/pipes that run in front of the radiator on a 1996 4 cyl Contour are held into the flexible hoses that they go into. It looks like there are just hose clips holding them. What is the pressure in the system. Mine are rusted out and beginning to leak. Is it possible to buy this u shaped pipe loop as a spare part. Thanks regards Steve R |

Re: Power Steering Leak
The use a crimp fitting like they use on air conditioning systems. Parts stores that have a tool won't crimp new hoses on the pipes for you. They say the liability is to high and their insurance won't allow them to do it.
In this case for high pressure power steering hoses you have to buy a complete new unit at a parts store. |
