dsm 13g v.s 300gt vr4 13g turbos
Sorry, for writing 300gt instead of 3000gt. Whats the difference between the dsm 13g and vr4 13g? I was reading up on them, and all I seen is that the dsm spools faster, because the turbine shaft is shorter. I am lookin at both of them and the dsm one looks a lot bigger then the vr4's. So i guess the dsm holds more boost and can boost more, right? Their housings both say td04 but they are different sizes, why?

Re: dsm 13g v.s 300gt vr4 13g turbos
The compressor housing is bigger on the DSM turbo, so it in theory is better. The turbine housing is also different, because it uses the 4 bolt "TD05" flange. Everything else is the same.

Since the turbo is better, will it hold more boost?

I guess you missed the "in theory" part of my sentence. DSM 13Gs are just the cheep way of doing a turbo upgrade.
