Re: 4X4 switch

when i switch from 4 hi back to 2 high the indicator light yhat tell you which you are 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive keeps flashing. the dealer says is should stop flashing in 20 feet mune seems never to go back into 2 wheel drive. they looked at it and says nothing is wrong. the switch system seems very cheese to me any ways.

Re: 4X4 switch

My 06 does this occasionally, depends on the type of surface you are driving on, how close to dead straight you are going, and what the load on the transmission is. If you are on the gas, cornering, braking or driving on a slightly slick surface it will take its sweet time shifting the transfer case. I have found that if I stop gently and shift the transfer case it changes from 4wd to 2wd in a couple of seconds. Otherwise, it can take 1/2 mile or so to shift sometimes.
