96 Voyager Heater Hose Restricter Valve

Replaced the restrictor valve in the heater hose line due to it leaking (had a crack). Prior to replaceing, I had good hot heat flow above 100-110 deg., now it barely gets to 80 deg. & seems to drop lower when in use. Thermostate was replaced prior to valve replacement.

I've never messed with it, not even sure what you're talking about but, could it be that it needs to be installed oriented in one and only one direction. Can you install it backwards and cut off flow? A wild guess.

Re: 96 Voyager Heater Hose Restricter Valve

Is the valve fully opening?

Re: 96 Voyager Heater Hose Restricter Valve

RIP & KinMG ,
Please refer to post, suggested repair & response Re: 96 Voyager Flashing Accessory Lights after Battery Change. (one has to do with the other)
The inline hose going to the heater core has this valve, about 6" from the core tube, which controls/restricts the flow/pressure of the water going into the core to keep it from bursting. Also it is possible to install the wrong way, so I marked my old one before removing. Thanks again for the help

Good to see the vent system cal took care of this. Who would have thought. Thanks again for posting the fix. Cheers.
