Question VW Turbos

I am in the market to purchase a 1999.5+ Jetta and would like to know if it is at all possible to install a turbo from a 2001 1.8T Jetta on the non-turbo 2.0L engine. I somehow do not think that it will work because of the difference in litre sizes, but it does not hurt to ask. Thanks.

Re: VW Turbos

After you've installed a several thousand dollar turbo system on a non-turbo car you'll probably wish you just waited and bought a used 2.0T in a year or so.

I'm not an expert, but 0.2L isn't a lot. If you are going to do that, get a really good wastegate and enjoy the fast spool up.
