Re: 99' Chevy Silverado Pick Up
looks good so far. in the pic with the "bed cage" the aluminum box at the rear of the bed is a fuel cell. that's what will happen if you go with a 4 link. or you could build it to where the tank is below the bed all together.
about the reverse 4 link not working. I'm sure it WORKS, but I know I wouldn't want to drive it at highway speeds, since it seems that it would be unstable when encountering bumps, and ruts as the axle is being pushed over bumps rather than being pulled as in a normal suspension setup.

Re: 99' Chevy Silverado Pick Up
Well I've decided to go with that suspension set up (see above, blue/chrome).
I've got two of the cross over mounts glued in place, all I really have to do is put the parallel arms in, the bags, shocks and the 2 links just off of the shocks. That will be done maybe tomorrow or the next day, then i'm going away for the weekend, and then school starts up again. The step notch has been finished, but i'm going to have to do some more puttying as it keeps cracking from flexing/pressure being applied to the frame by my hands and cutting etc*. I've also started shaving the tailgate, the doors will also be shaved. Just a quick update to let you guys know where i'm at, pictures will be up as soon as possible. |
