need window guide

my driver side window guide is broken. the window side back and forth when down and in and out also. i can't find a replacement window guide anywhere on line. i can only find the whole scissor assembly. any help? thanks

the same thing just happened to me, it still rolls up, but I have to guide it up slowly, and I can easily shake the window. I don't know how to fix it, sorry, but any help from the guys on the forum would be greatly appreciated

I had that problem, I went to an auto body shop and they ordered the one piece I needed. Are you sure the piece that is on the window is not popped out of the guide? About middle of the door is the guide and the window has a piece that goes in that guide and mine kept popping out and needed a new part for the window. It was cheap.

Edit- pop the door panel off to look and see what I am talking about. There are some screws on the arm rest that you will have to take out to get the panel off all the way I think.

I took off the door panel, and the piece that connects to the guide was broken, and it won't go back on. Where can I go to get the piece? its the one thats attatched to the bottom of the window that connects to the guide, what is this piece called? I don't even know what to look for

i called the dealership and priced the piece at $50.77. it's called a window regulator. i tried to have the peice welded on today but my guy said it would probrably melt the the peice that runs in the guide. i am going to try treading a bolt in and if that doesn't work i will give in and buy the regulator kit. i will let you know how it goes.

Awesome thanks man. I tried to take it off, but I think I'll probably leave that to someone else so I don't mess it up more than I already have, hah!

I went to an auto body shop and they brought up the part on a computer and ordered it. I don't think it cost that much. Its been over a year so I don't remember.

i just went to a northern tool and bought a die bit for the drill and drilled some threads in the pin that broke off the window and just bolted it on . good as new for less than five bucks!
