he replaced the input gasket as well. it started today when i picked it up and didn't cut out. will update if it does.

You are working out the problems with your current vehicle, if you sell it and purchase another you run the risk (very likely) to repeat the same process all over again.

If I got a new car, it'd be new, under warranty, so at least I wouldn't have to pay these retarded bills. I'm going to wait to get a new car likely until I can afford notes that will have the car paid off by the time the warranty is out (36 months likely).

As a side note, my front-left window is lagging sometimes when i try to make it go up. i've heard that the switch goes out on this car, and it'll cost like $90 to fix. any news/thoughts on that? i haven't looked into it much, and now don't have the money to spend on it.
